Gabrielle Shimkus
Psychotherapist / Practice OwnerMA, LPC, BSC, PAT
Hi, I’m Gabrielle!
At Shimkus Counseling and Associates, we believe connection is one of the most important experiences we have as human beings. When our connection with ourselves or others is disrupted, we may experience anxiety, depression, anger, isolation, or other challenges that affect our daily lives.
My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and confidential space where you can feel comfortable exploring your experiences, gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, and working toward healing. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life challenges, and I believe therapy should be personalized to meet each person where they are.
In addition to being a licensed therapist and behavior specialist, I am EMDR-trained and have specialized training in psychedelic therapy and integration through the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and MAPS. I also provide Ketamine-Assisted Therapy at a local facility and offer limited psychedelic preparation and integration therapy.
You do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward greater understanding, healing, and peace.
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for clients in Pennsylvania.

Ray McDonald
Hi, I’m Ray!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and PA Certified School Social Worker who works primarily with children, adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, school stress, and major life transitions.
My goal is to create a supportive, genuine, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we can work toward understanding what you’re experiencing, building practical tools, strengthening confidence, and helping you feel more in control of your life.
I also have a special interest in working with children through play therapy and am currently completing the training and supervised clinical experience required to become a Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT™).
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for support, you don't have to navigate it alone.
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for clients in Pennsylvania.
Marissa Ivanko
PsychotherapistMS, LAPC
Hi, I’m Marissa!
I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is feeling comfortable with the person sitting across from you. I bring warmth, humor, and personality into the therapy space while creating an environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
I enjoy working with people through the many different parts of life, whether that’s relationships, family dynamics, big changes, overwhelming seasons, or simply trying to understand yourself a little better. Everyone comes to therapy for different reasons, and sometimes figuring out what you need is part of the process.
I value genuine connection and believe therapy doesn’t have to feel overly formal or intimidating. There’s room for laughter, tears, venting, reflection, and everything in between. My goal is to provide a comfortable space where you can feel heard, supported, and most importantly, like yourself.
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for clients in Pennsylvania.
Lindsay Hickey
PsychotherapistMS, LPC, NCC
Hi, I’m Lindsay!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and PA Certified School Counselor (PreK–12). At Shimkus Counseling and Associates, I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, navigating transition, uncertainty, and other life stressors.
I have a particular interest and experience in supporting individuals experiencing grief, including disenfranchised grief—the pain that can arise when a loss is not openly acknowledged or supported. This may include losses related to relationships, pets, identity, health, employment, or other meaningful experiences. I offer compassionate support as you process your grief, make meaning of what has happened, and move forward while honoring what—and who—you have lost.
My approach is warm, supportive, and person-centered. I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques and solution-focused strategies while tailoring therapy to your individual needs and goals. As a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, I also value the mind-body connection and may incorporate grounding and present-moment awareness when appropriate.
My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and supported.
I offer virtual therapy throughout Pennsylvania, with weeknight evening appointments available.
Courtney Zukoski
PsychotherapistMA, LPC, NCC
Hi, I’m Courtney!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals of all ages navigate life’s challenges and develop the tools they need to feel more confident, connected, and empowered. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, and behavioral concerns.
My approach is warm, supportive, and individualized. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where clients can be heard without judgment and feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I draw from evidence-based approaches while adapting treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, developmental level, and goals.
When working with children and adolescents, I use age-appropriate, engaging strategies to help them understand and express their emotions, build coping skills, and navigate challenges at home, school, and in relationships. With adults, I provide a collaborative space to explore patterns, overcome obstacles, and work toward meaningful change.
Whether you are navigating a difficult transition, looking to better understand yourself, or seeking healthier ways of coping, I am here to meet you where you are and support you throughout the process. Let’s climb the little mountains together.
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for clients in Pennsylvania.
